Essay:
Work is essential for men and women. It is an integral part of life. Women who join certain professions for earning money are called workingwomen. In the past women only worked as farm labourers, dairy maids or house maids. But in modern age more and more women are becoming career women. In this age women are performing their duties in every field of life. Women are working as doctors, nurses and teachers. A majority of the bold ladies are performing duties as soldiers, policewomen, air hostesses, business women and pilots.
In developing and backward countries women are working due to many reasons. Firstly, some women are ambitious and passionate about their future. They want to put their skill in their favourite field to make a revolution. Secondly, a large number of women want to join any profession because they have a lot of time and they want to kill their time in any field. Thirdly, due to bad economic condition, a large number of women are working to make their both ends meet. They are forced to work and earn something apart from their male family members.
Working women of any country of the world have to face more problems than men. There is a long list of problems which working women have to face. Firstly, women have to face a very discouraging and unfavourable environment. Secondly, some women have to deal with their male colleagues and administrators who do not give them due regard and respect. Some wicked men try to exploit them in number of ways. For example, lady accountant, receptionist, personal secretary, nurses in hospitals and air hostesses on the planes do not receive respectable treatment. Every body tries to tease and flirt with them. Thirdly, some women who are working far away from their homes, it is difficult and dangerous for them to travel daily unaccompanied by bus or wagons. In most of the cases residential facilities are available in far flung areas. So they are hung between their homes and places of duties. Fourthly, if husband and wife both are working at different places, their family life is ruined. They cannot pay attention to their children. Fifthly, the salary of a woman also becomes the bone of contention between her and her family. Many a time marriage has failed only for such petty reasons.
Above all problems can be removed if the family members of those working women, society and government play their roles respectively. Firstly, the family members of those women should encourage them for their loyalty and support. Secondly, society must protect those all ladies like their own sisters daughters and mothers. Thirdly, government should provide suitable jobs to the women. Government must protect their dignity and honour.
