Subject : Unsanitary / Unhygienic / Poor sanitary condition in the locality

Sir,

I want to bring to your notice the present unsanitary conditions in our locality. These conditions have been caused primarily by the people who throw away their waste in the open space instead of throwing it in the dustbins.

The sweepers and other sanitary staff of the department are not fulfilling their responsibility in this matter. The sweepers seldom clear the waste and the staff  of the department seldom visit the place for inspection. The most dangerous thing which is occurring due to unsanitary condition is the spread of diseases among the local people. Due to unsanitary condition children, women, men and old people are suffering from the large number of diseases.

I would, therefore, earnestly request you to please make on the spot study of the problem and take necessary steps to get this malady removed. The rubbish carriages should carry the rubbish daily for the streets. Dustbins on the roads should be placed to throw rubbish. There should be well constructed drains on both sides of the roads. These drains should be cleaned regularly. The sanitation department should be vigilant and sweepers should be warned strictly so that they may perform their duties regularly and clean the streets and drains.
