A model citizen is one who is a model character for others. His aim is to remove hindrance and hurdles which create disturbance for his future goals. He has every right to participate in the judicial, legal, political, religious and social affairs of the nation. He tries his best to put everyone at ease and to make everyone feel at home. His attitude towards life is "live and let others live".
A model citizen has many responsibilities and duties on his shoulder. He must be ready to sacrifice his everything for the sake of his motherland. He is also required to be a patriot and nationalist. He lives in perfect harmony with all the inhabitants of the society. He does not harbor the feelings of ill-will and animosity towards his neighbors. He should have firm and deep faith in the welfare of his motherland. He has to obey law and order.
A model citizen has many duties to perform. His first and foremost duty is to respect the heroes, the Prophets, the sages and saints of his country. He must always keep in his mind the future of his country.
A model citizen must have great respect for the law and rules of his country. He is well wisher of the people of his country. He must live in peace and harmony with his neighbors and fellow citizens. He must love the institutions of his country.
A model citizen must be vigilant against the enemies of the country. He must not do something which may help the anti-nationalist or the enemies of the country. He must be aware of what is happening in the country.
A model citizen is always loyal to his city. He should have a spirit of co-operation, friendliness, humanity, dedication and devotion for his fellow citizens. In short, he must respect other's faiths. He is always ready to help the other people in every difficult situation. All these good and great qualities make one a model citizen.
