Subject : Frequent Breakdown of Electricity

Sir,

I, the resident of ABC area want to draw your attention to the frequent breakdown of electricity in our area. It has become routine of the people living here in darkness for long hours.

The supply of electricity is disconnected in the extreme hot climate for many hours during day and night. Many accidents have occurred due to darkness. Students are greatly disturbed by the frequent breakdown of electricity during their study times. People cannot offer their prayers properly in the masjid. The failure of electricity also has affected the supply of water in our homes.

The frequent breakdown of electricity has jolted the industry and economical condition of the city. Workers and laborers are out of work. Without proper electricity, they cannot work. It has become very difficult for the poor to earn livelihood. After facing so many problems, majority of the young people have become rebel. They are against the policies of government.

In this regard, I have a few suggestions to stop or at least reduce load-shedding. Firstly, load-shedding for domestic consumers should not break down for many hours. Secondly, load-shedding plans and schedule must be announced in the area in advance. Thirdly, illegal connections should be checked and the offenders must be punished. It is hoped that load-shedding will be reduced by taking these steps.
