Subject : Traffic problems on city roads

Sir, 

Through your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned departments about the acute traffic problems in the city. Firstly, road accidents are increasing daily. The main factor is increasing number of vehicles on the road. Car-leasing by banks has enabled even an ordinary man to buy a car for himself. The roads seem insufficient for the huge number of vehicles. Secondly, the condition of our roads is very bad. Many of the roads are let with ditches, which cause accidents. Thirdly, most of our public do not have a real traffic sense. They are least concerned by the traffic rules. It adds to the problem on the road.

Lastly, our traffic police are not as sufficient and responsible as it should be. Corruption is always there. Monthly system is still the order off the day which is aggravating the traffic problems. Above all due to traffic problems, many other problems are emerging.

So it is high time that the concerned authorities should do something to control the traffic problems.
