Subject : Ban on unnecessary noises and the use of loud speakers
Sir,
I want to draw your kind attention towards a very important problem of our city. Loud speakers are being used indiscriminately throughout the city. People use it to advertise their goods, cinemas to attract people to their films on show and vendors to hawk their items. Besides this the use of loud speakers in the mosques has increased beyond measure. There, it is continuously being used for raising funds and announcements of various types. Rickshaws and tongas fitted with the apparatus disturb the calm of the people every day. These people never bother about the suffering patients or students busy in their studies. Everyday, early in the morning a cassette player is switched on in a mosque when there is not even a single audience inside. Sometime in mind a person appreciates those people who give alms. There is no doubt that they may use loud speakers for their purpose. But they must take care of the other people. They may think that the other common people will be disturbed in the use of loud speaker.
Under the circumstances, I, on the behalf the people, request you to take necessary measures to save us from this irritating noise. Under legal section, orders may kindly be passed to stop the use of loud speakers at random and permission for its use may be sought from the official authorities. I do hope that you will take personal interest in this matter as you are also a peace loving citizen of this area.
