Subject : Supply of Contaminated Drinking Water

Sir,

Through the medium of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of official authorities as well as of the general public to the very serious problem of supply of contaminated water in our locality. For the last few weeks, contaminated water is being supplied to the houses of our locality. This germ-full and stinking water is spreading various harmful and deadly among the people of every age.

Three to five causalities have already been reported in the locality. People are bound to drink and use this contaminated water for their daily uses. The deep wells and water pumps of WASA are not only old and rusty but they have also become insufficient to provide clean and pure water to the people of our area. The water supply lines have broken and burst out various places. Due to these breakages, the water of drains mixes with the supplied water and as a result the whole water is becoming contaminated and polluted. The sanitary workers and officials of WASA don't pay a least attention to repair these breakages of water supply pipes. Most of them ignore their duties and let the situation be worsen for the public.

Here I hope that may this letter published in your esteemed newspaper will certainly draw the attention of the higher authorities. I do hope that necessary steps will be taken by the official authorities at their prior basis for making our locality worth living once again.
